The administration of TEF is within the purview of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, or CCIP. The test consists of two optional and three mandatory examinations, each with a separate component. The reading, grammar, listening, and vocabulary components must be completed, but the writing and speaking portions are optional and can be taken on their own.
